Retention periods applied automatically by Veranta (subject to legal review):

  • SMS sign-in codes: 24 hours.
  • ID and driving licence: while the account is active; deleted 12 months after the last completed rental, or when the account is deleted (unless a dispute is open).
  • Handover and return photos: 24 months after the rental.
  • Messages: 24 months.
  • Bookings, payments and payment proofs: as long as accounting law requires (kept anonymously after account deletion).
  • Deleted account: locked immediately; personal data anonymised after 30 days.
